Im working with an injection plastic company on a reproduction viggen bumper, maybe with an additional lip. Just wondering if theres interest to maybe mass produce a few dozen copies. Ive heard some pretty ridiculous prices for these from saab aprox 500usd(correct me if im wrong), As of now my cost is siqnificantly lower especially if I could get interest for a few dozen copies. If you guys have any comments, suggestions all are welcome. no pics as of now(still working on a prototype) but ill keep you all posted.

Oh you did! Crap! The reason I say this is because I really thought it would be like the only one in Maine. Actually second, as I know a guy down your way who just ordered one. I called all the dealors up, Quirk, Cold Brook, Portland, etc, none of them had ever sold one before. Portland didn't even know what it was. After I was explained, that still said, "So you want a bumper off an Aero? You know that 9-5s and 9-3s don't have interchangeable parts?" Idiots. Oh well. I couldn't pass up the 386 and Quirk waived the shipping to sweeten the deal.
You know, if you get a new Vig bumper from this new potential source, you could prbably ebay the original one, and break even. |

yeah, im not sure, maybe im dreaming, we were both going rather quickly, but i think thats what i saw.... but now you got me thinking.... and i dont know. yeah, it depends on what this "extra lip" is, whether or not i buy one. my bumper looks like turd from the underside.

Some short haired punk. He was giving me some attitude cause they were closing soon. But I was coming back from an appt. in Portland, and wanted to stop in in person. Can't imagine what they would have said over the phone. Then he followed me out to the lot and wanted to know everything about my car. It was kinda weird. He was moody or something.

yeah so id like to see a picture of the proposed bumper if it were to be any different i.e. an extra lip.

Would this company possibly also reproduce the side skirts and the rear bumper???
I am interested as of now, the price will determine if I am still interested when i see it. |

I second that opinion, I would love to see it being a packaged deal, if possible? If not, still sign me up, was about to order the talladega lip for my NG900, but I will wait if this thing is for real. But if you guys start with the front lip why not do the side skirts and rear bumber, I do not think you guys will have to wait long there are a lot of people out here that would want a cheaper viggen alternative, and I think you guys could make alot of money doing it. good luck

ohhh hell yes. If you could do the whole kit for a much reasonable price you'd get a TON of interest. The viggen kit is much desired. Be careful with the extra lip.. .if you do it make it optional. Many of us desire nothing else other than that clean viggen look.

I still dont understand why anyone has tried to attempt this before, ecspecially genuine or mpperformance, this would be a big money maker and the money would offset the cost of getting the equipment that make the kits, and someone could make a huge profit off it, hint to nick or MP, or anyone else trying to jump on the saab modification band wagon.
