heater problem

This is my fist go at this and I'm not sure of all the correct terms.Here goes. I have a 1998 9000 turbo with a climate control fault. The fault apears to be in the controle unit itself, Ive checked the servo motor that open and shuts the flap to the heater.motor is ok as well as the wiring back to the unit. some info on the this control unit would be great. The unit is a Bosch 96 28 397.
