Hi,
My 89 900 T16 has developed a miss just when the engine is started. It will do this warm or cold usually after sitting several minutes. It seems to be the cylinder closest to the front. It will gradually start firing in about 1 minute or so. No backfire. I can make the same effect buy unplugging an injector. That is how I figured out which one was not working. Also I am getting boost cut back at a lower pressure than usual. May be releated? My thoughts; failing injector, fuel pump going, Fuel pressure Reg. Haven't checked the spark yet but that is next. Runs great after the miss stops. The boost cutback is under a pretty good load. Close to full throttle on a good hill near around 4000 rpm. Appreciate any thoughts, Thanks, Greg If it matters just changed coolant and thermostst to a winter one. |

Hi, start the car warm and let it miss for a few seconds.Shut it off and remove the spark plug in the missing cylinder. Is the tip wet with antifreese? Is the tip tinted the color of your antifreeze?Sounds like a head (gasket) problem is likly. Please tell me I'm wrong.
