I pulled the #4 fuse which disables the feature altogether, but I would like to know why the shift up indicator sometimes comes on in 5th. Anyone have this happen?

Is the sensor working?
There is a plug on the tranny next to the dipstick. When 5th is engaged, this activates the switch. I'm guessing yours is either unplugged or busted. I would just disconnect the fuse as the shift up light is a waste of resources. |

My V70R has 6 speeds, but from 5th all I get in the saab is reverse! Seriously, thanks for the suggestions - I just pulled the fuse and called it a day. I always hated that light anyway.
