Default What the....?? Please help, black smoke, very odd!

Today I was driving my car around and testing a few things, I was on a dirt road and had to keep doing U-tunrs and stuff to stay in the same area. Anyway as I was doing a U-turn I was trying to accelerate and the engine was just reving but the car wasent moveing, I had let the clutch all the way out and it was just reving. Then black smoke came out from under the car and through the air vents acoupanied by an awfull burning smell. I turned it off and opened up the bonnet. I could see NOTHING wrong at all and nothing was driping out from under the car, everything was fine. After leaving it for a while, started it up, and nothing was wrong. Runs fine, just as it did before the incident, burning smell is gone, it as though it had no affect. What happened? What should I do???

Default bad smeel, smoke

Hi,
You probably burned your clutch a bit. If you do that you can experience clutch fade. Similar to brake fade after major breaking downhill. Not very healthy for a clutch. It cannot take too much of such treatment.
