Default How many athletes do we have out there

Saab owners are supposedly known for their outdoor/athletic activities. So how many athletes do we have on the board? I'm specifically thinking about those who compete more than just do it for fun, but if you take it seriously that counts too.

Some may have noticed from my avatar and a few pics that I race bicycles. I'll bet we have a lot of the disciplines covered. So lets hear it!

I don't do too much anymore. I raced mountain bikes (cross-country) when I was in my teens, and played tennis through high school, but sadly I don't do as much now. I'm thinking about getting into a mens tennis league if I can find the time, and I still make it to the gym 4-5 days a week.

I used to run distance races and play competitive hockey. Now not so much. Although I have stated that I enter some Xcountry ski races this year.

Downhill skiing is great. I started when I was 5, so I'm up to about 25 years, but really only about a week a year, so I think my total ski days (about 150 then) is a one year total for a real skier.

Ran cross country in high school too, I dabble a bit with it to help with cyclocross, which the season is upon us.

I wish I lived somewhere more conducive to cross country skiing and mountain biking. Just have to travel to far to get to anyplace worth it. And even then the mountain biking isn't really worth it.

I played basketball a lot until I hurt my shoulder. After that I hit the weight room 5 days a week until I hurt my shoulder again . Now I swim twice a week and ride my mountain bike. This winter I want to give cross country skiing a shot, I heard it's hard work but good times.

I also ran cross-country in High school but only for a year because it sucked.

Triathlons. Even my Cannondale's frame dimpled for better aerodynamics and that competitive advantage.
OK, the bike flew off the roof rack at 120kph and dented the frame cause some **** didn't attach it properly ops: .
Oh, play competitive tennis too. Just not well.

I sleep competitively. We meet on mass at selected dormitories. Each has an assigned sleep maintenance/support staffer. I have been known to sleep as much as eight hours non stop. " ah perchance to dream. now that's the rub"

Don't want any jokes about lemmings on wheeled beds.

BTW be careful of those bike seats they have been known to make one impudent.

I'm a high school senior too...and my only school sport is Track, where I run the 800, 1600, and 1600 racewalk (don't laugh, I score MAJOR points for the team doing this). Outside of school, I snowboard, mountain bike, XC ski, kayak, waterski and wakeboard (not much though), and hike. I'm sure I do something else too...oh yeah, I play intramural badminton at school. What an awesome game! I also lift pretty regularly at the school gym...not really a sport though.

I Mt. Bike, indoor rock climb, camp, hike, backpack, and work on cars (yes its a workout which counts as a sport to me).

And by saying I "do" all these things I mean back before college when I had time I did all these regulary. Now I seem to be doing carwork the most and the other well happens sometimes in a year.

I've thought of doing a triathlon, but they are all pretty much during the heart of the road racing season, or right after it, so I can't really do any running or swimming at this time.
