Is replacing a headlight, not jut the bulb, but the whole headlight assembly a DIY project on the Classic 900?

The american version isn't much harder. I believe there is only 1 screw holding the trim piece and two holding the headlight in. It's pretty easy to change.

Its pretty easy, just some difficult screw locations that require a nice assortment of socket extensions and some torx bits. There are two screws at the top of the frame, one larger hex head screw down below, and an additional torx screw that clamps the headlight to the cornering light assembly. Its actually easier to get at all the fasteners if you pop the existing headlight out of the frame and then remove the cornering light assembly.

My previous reply was for an American 1992 Saab 900 Turbo. Just replaced the headlight bucket a week ago.
