Default Bypass Valve Question

Is the stock Viggen Bypass valve comparable to aftermarket ones such as hyperboost or forge? Do the aftermarkets improve turbo response considerably over the stock viggen?
Finally do they produce a more audible noise?

Thanks.

No, it is not rebuildable or adjustable.

Not that I can tell with my Forge BPV

Finally do they produce a more audible noise?

No, not a BPV a BOV is another story, but don't try one with a T7.

Comparable? Performance increases? not really anything to gain from a BPV. If any increase, it is very small. The viggen BPV will work just fine. There is probably a more audible note out of the metal afterarket BPV's. Only difference is that the viggen BPV is a diaphragm and can has the possibility of needing replacement whereas the metal piston style is servicable and will last the life of your car.
