Saab 24/24 Lease

Saw in the local Indianapolis paper today, an ad for the Saab 24/24 lease. Basically, you can take the Saab of your choosing on a 24 hour test drive.
Then lease it for 24 months with $999.00 down* (no, didn't see any fineprint indicating you had to lease the car you test drive for 24 hours)

Note the astrik(*).........

As with most leases, you must have a very good credit score..AND.....The 24/24 offer is "Offer is for eligible Participants in the GM Employee Program"

For years, GM has given generous discounts to their employees, yet non-employees have to participate under a higher cost rule. This backfired on GM several years ago leaving a high percentage of their sales "employee based"....

I often have wondered the legality of auto programs that basically penalized the general public while extending deeper discounts to employees PUBLICALLY THRU ADVERTISEMENT???

One of my greatest "pet-peeves" is the General Motors Institute Mentality....literally translated...
"The public is stupid, we are GM, and let's screw them and make tons of money" MHO!!!!

Yea!!! Sends out a clear message that the rest of the public gets to subsidize the GM employees by paying a higher monthly/w more down.....NO THANKS!
