Hi
My mate is a good mechanic and went to fit a pair of front pads to my 94 cse 2ltr lpt. I had ordered the correct pads via my VIV & Reg an d the box stated saab 9000. On taking the old pads off, they were nearly half as big again as the new ones. Luckily, he had a pair of Merc Sprinter Van pads that fitted perfectly after bending the clips -what is the correct part number? |

I'm looking for some advice on what brake pads to use. The rotors I'm getting are the Brembos eeuroparts sells. What do you guys use? Why? How much did they set you back?

The guys running the highly tuned 9000's have either Ferodo DS 2500 or Mintex C tech [angua's 9000 has C tech, but you know that already  ] |

Why not use OEM? though I cannot say how much they'll be for you.

I've just finished installing all four rotors and pads on my car, got them for $450 USD and free shipping from www.performanceplusbrakes.com,
rotors are slotted and drilled, the holes do not go through the disc, which should help prevent cracks, plus they look nice with gold zinc plating. They use brembo castings, the performance pads have superb bite, altough they still have to be broken in, the change is evident; the stock pads are just too hard. I took this pics after a ride around the block after installation: ![]() ![]() perhaps in the future I will upgrade to bigger brakes, but for now this is enough. |
