i was just wondering if atmospheric dump valves were safe to use with my 1996 900se turbo. i was thinking of getting one of these two valves to get the "Pshhh" sound
i had my eye on this one... http://www.abbottracing.com/2002/tun...ne/n900_dv.htm |

Not sure whether engine management is Trionic 5 or Trionic 7. If 5 then no problem. If 7 then no.

well according to this site that i found a second ago:
http://www.saabzone.com/Tech/tech900...0is%20Trionic? all 900 turbos are Trionic 5... so i guess operation "Whoosh!" is a go  |

Yep, looks like you are OK because Trionic 7 only appeared on 9-3s. Trionic 5 senses the air after the dump valve whereas 7 does it before the dump valve. That's why one works with an atmospheric dump valve and the other doesn't.
