Default New to Saab and interested...

Dear All

Hello.

I am picking up a 2000 9-5 Aero estate on Saturday after my company run 2002 Impreza WRX goes back to the leasing firm.

I'm sure the change in performance delivery and, most certainly, grip will take a bit of getting used to but I am looking forward to getting my hands on the keys to the Aero. Time to act my age, I think

In the future I may be interested in a sensible ecu remap (mainly to increase torque) but first on the shopping list is brakes. The independent Saab specialist I am buying the car from recommends Black Diamond brand. Does anyone have experience of these? Other suggestions would be most welcome. Good road manners are a prerequisite - no cold use problems and no squealing, please.

I look forward to sharing my experiences with you all as time and miles go by.

Tony

Welcome to Saabcentral!

I'm afraid Black Diamond do not supply suitable front discs for the 9-5 Aero (16" brakes). I'm seriously thinking of getting Black Diamond Discs and predator pads fitted all round on my tuned 9-5 2.0 shortly after hearing from someone else how fantastic they are compared to the standard brake set up. I might go for some Goodridge hoses as well.
