Default AA - can we get away with it?

Anyone know what the situation is with AA homestart?

When I'm not enjoying my Saab, I share a track car project with a couple of mates, and we can't get it started for no apparent reason. We have tried the obvious stuff with no success.

It is very obviously not on the road (no tax or mot, full of not-yet-welded-in roll cage, etc).

If we call the AA out to it are we likely to get grilled?

Cheers, Rob

Unlikely to get away with it as the small print says it must be taxed, you are likely to get a written warning with the threat of loss of service, and they will not look at the car. Sorry.

Dunno, but one of my friends did a cambelt job on a rover, and it just wouldn't run afterwards, so he called them out. They practically re-did the job!

So you might be ok. Can you make it *look* road legal? Might be an idea to stick a tax disc in the window that's in date.
