Yesterday night, I was on speedway with a friend of mine with his GPS computer. His computer can provide informations like position in the 3-axis and naturally the real speed as the system know our displacement every meter and every second.
Finally, here are the results: Vmax was 227kph and i was reading 240kph.At this speed the pressure was 0.7bar. When i was reading 130kph, he tell me 123kph. With this two points, i can suppose that the speedmeter error is around 5.8%. My tyre setup is: 195/65 15" |

I would treat standard GPS readings with caution - I have compared them to surveyed information and data from the very accurate DGPS and they can be way, way off - even though the unit is estimating a small error.

Yes, there is probably a little error. But I was reading 240kph on the speedo. So I'm sure that the speed was between 220 and 240kph.
Morever, I remember that one day I was racing with an Impreza and we were equal at top speed. The top speed of an impreza is 228kph. I'm quite please this result. I just have to find why I can't hold more than 0.7bar at high rpm. |

Doesn`t the APC reduce the boost pressure at anything over 4000 RPM? Unless you have done away with this?
I had an indicated 145MPH out of my T16S, but my gearbox went bang and i now have an injection box in and this morning it was doing 130MPH at around 5600RPM. Still its not really that useful to have a high top speed is it? Now the acceleration is improved (I think!) and it sits at 60MPH at around 27-2800RPM so hardly any lag when overtaking. |
