I AM IN LOVE
I just test drove a 1994 9000 aero. Only two words can express how I feel. Holy crap. That was amaizing. I curently own a 1984 900 turbo, and up till about a half an hour ago I thought it was somewhat quick, not fast mind you, just quick. But after driving this 9000. driving in my car will never be the same.
I have read about the 9000's aero's being quick but I had no idea. Now all I need to do is find a way to get together about 6 grand, and a place to store it for 4 month's, and it could be all mine. Anyway just wanted to let you know about my experience. If you havent driven one yet you should definently look into it. You wont regret it.

Those 9000 Aero's are reasonably nippy... I had a ride in Greenphoto's car, and must say in standard trim pull really nicely...

You must have one of only a handfull of C900's in SLC, I was there for a couple of weeks last month, and only counted 2 the whole time I was there...

I've driven both in standard trim and the 9-5 Aero felt a bit quicker and handles much much better.

The Aero is fitted with a variation on the Saab B234 2.3L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine and the performance specification for the manual version (as standard) is as follows:

Maximum power 225 bhp (168 KW) @ 5500 RPM
Maximum torque 258 lbft (350Nm) @1900 RPM
Acceleration 0-60 mph 6.5 seconds (or 6.2-6.7 depending on who you ask)

Yeah, it is one of only four that I have ever seen in my 8+ years of living here in Salt Lake. So when I do go to buy mine, it looks like I will have to go out of state to find one.
That reminds me a question I wanted to ask. What do people know about importing cars. I am going to be traveling to Sweden for a study abroad program for 4 months, and my dad and I have been talking about importing one. What does it take to do this?

It wouldn't be worth it.

Because of the weak dollar, currently Swedes are importing swedish made cars (Volvo/Saab) from the U.S. casue it is cheaper that way.

Funny how that works out, huh? The things are made within a few miles of where they live, but its cheaper to buy one that has been exported across the atlantic, and shipped back again...

is this what they call Globalization? :P
