In my Aero the body kit is slightly rattling down, i.e. various pieces are a bit loose and I would like to make the sit sturdy. The problems are in the back and at the front. Are the different small pieces attached to the body itself or is there small mounts or something?
I haven't begun taking the different parts of, because I do not want to break anything especially when the original kit parts are hard to come by and call for a high price. The problem areas: Loose panel on right side, the panel before bumber (bumber extension). Right side of the lower part of front spoiler, the attachment to front bumber is loose (front bumber extension) I know, a bit hard to explain but the real question is, how are the panels attached to the car.. |

They are held on rails at the top and screwed on at the bottom, apart from the door panels which are rivetted at the bottom.
Drew used to have a fitting guide on his website, anybody know the address?? |

I also would like to know about the Aero kit. My front bumper section at the very bottom is slightly detached from the front side bits... need to know how to get them sticking together properly.

I've been looking for two things for my 89 900T, and this forum helped me find the rims! I've not been able to find an Aero body kit for my baby anywhere, and I've looked for a while - I have heard that there are a lot of rattling issues and such that come with the kit - is this true?
They just give the car a much more streamlined look... |

Don't seem to remember my kitted car rattling any more than the non-kitted car I used to drive ?

I unscrewed mine from the inside to see how it all fitted together. The bottom of the door panels were screwed into the doors. Getting the end panels behind the bumpers off requires you to bend the panel away from the wheelarch

news: that saabs gonna rattle even if it's not on :! :!
That diagram explains everything really, i could help more if you need it. You may have to drill out the rivets if you wanna take the door peices off and clean them or something. My bumper extensions get loose also, keep an EYE on them becuase one of mine fell of on the PA turnpike somewhere. They should have a screw in them attaching them to the bumper, mine obviously didn't Look on Ebay and Saab places like this for aero kits, also that erunoby place, it's in the links section here for buying stuff. That kit is nice, but stay away from teh tail. (whale tails are way hotter anyway) Anway PM me if you need help with anything, although one of the moderators could prob help you more |
