Question 2006 Saab 93 2.0T 18" Wheels

I found some really cheap Barracat Mirage 18" 7.5 40mm offset wheels on craigslist for $100! Im wondering what would be the best tires to fit on my 2006 Saab 93 2.0T. Im not lowered or anything yet, but what would be the best size tires and maybe brands for the best possible ride comfort? Im not looking to sacrifice all performance, just dont wanna have it super harsh coming from 16" stock wheels. Thanks!

Do you think they're gonna look good on a Saab? I'm not too sure about those.

Honestly idk haha, but for $100 I couldn't resist! Ill throw them on and take some pics and post them up shortly. They came with decent 225/40/18s. I plan on lowering at some point but just wanted to see what 18s look like with a stock suspension setup.

Not passing judgement on the wheels, I'll put out some ideas for the tires.

I upgraded to 18" wheels back in early Spring. They came off of a Saturn Sky. I shopped for about 2-3 months before deciding on 225/40-18" size, and the tires being all-season Kumho Ecsta 4X. See thread here.

Well the "Stock" size tire on an 18 X 7.5 wheel from Saab is 225/45R18 95W.

BTW-Ken what happened to to tire review stickies in the Lounge forum?

I had to search my posts to find it?

Geez, and I was trying to be nice. Lol I didn't wanna say yuck, but everyone else conveyed my feelings. They really don't work on a SAAB.

I didn't even realize they became un-stickied. Dunno what happened. I re-stickied them into the new Wheel & Tire Forum. Thanks for pointing it out.

Man give the guy a break, rims are rims, it's his car, not everyone has a ton of saabs and/parts around or an unlimited income to poach tire rack for deals. He found some rims, he bought them, his question was about tires, not about your opinion of rims. Also were all aware of how easy it is to find perfect rims for our cars in 5x110 right? Exactly. At least his car will be different from all the guys with rkIIs on their cars.

As for the post, I'm using Nitto genv tires so far I've put about 10k on them, and they're great. They wear a little fast. But they hook up great on the track and have next to zero road noise when cruising. They also have a pretty awesome tread pattern. 225/40/18 are my size.

Here's some pics so you can all hate

Besides the fact that I'm on stock springs and I need some drop and spacers, I like them.

If I do end up running them I was thinking maybe plastidipping them anthracite gray. Like this ...

Actually those chrome thingeys on the spokes look like little jet fighters. Jets .... planes ..... SAAB. See, it all ties together
