Default My NYIAS 9-7x Photos (56K Warning - Plenty of Photos!)

Went to the NYIAS on Friday, which was opening day. After an Easter weekend with the family, I am home and ready to get those photos out there!

I also have 9-2x photos in the 9-2x forum, and general Saab photos in "The Lounge." Hope you enjoy!

From those photos it does not look half bad on the outside. I am becomming increasingly concerned about the quality of the interior materials though.

I was gonna say the oposite, the interior reminds me of old school 9000s. The exterior looks a bit like a dodge caravan. And I'm not sold on the ricer tailights.

Again, very impressed with the look of the interior. Still need to touch it though. Can I get a 3 spoke steering wheel?

I doubt the interior will be of very good quality.. from what i can see most of it is standard equipment that are in other GM suv's (like the turn signal switches ect)

It looks like they moved the ignition to the center console like a real Saab. At least that and the grill look like a Saab.

Don't like\need\won't buy an SUV, but I love that front end! Sweet!
A friend of mine will only own SUV's (current = Explorer). The one guy I knew I'd never get into a Saab...until now.
He said he would test drive one with me!
A milestone in our auto-relationship.

Default too bad

It's too bad that the parents of Saab (GM) lack a imagination. IT looks like they took the cheap way out and used the Envoy. Sure the front end looks nice. I can't see many true saab owners paying the price for a dressed up Envoy or Bravado. It should be interesting to see how sales go.

My wife has been beating me up for an SUV for months! She is tired of the minivan. She totes kids around all over the place with all sorts of gear and cargo. It is also much easier to load and unload a small child in a carseat into an SUV because you dont have to bend over and down into the car. I also hope to get a boat soon which will need to be towed. I understand most Europeans loathe SUV's because there are not many on the roads so they do cause visibility problems for 90% of the people riding around in small cars. They are also very fuel thirsty and in Europe with the outrageously high petrol prices this makes them very expensive to drive. Here in the US, most people drive large vehicles and most of us are completely used to it. The number 1, 2, and 3 selling vehicles in the US are the Ford F series pickup, Chevy Silverado pickup and Dodge Ram pickup. Go figure. Gas is pricey but CHEAP compared to Europe. I would love to have a 9-7X V8 parked next to my 9-5 Aero. I think they did a good job and I expect with the chassis improvements performed the truck should ride nicely. I'm suprised they didnt have the V8 at the auto show. :-??

Yes a very very sad day, but really that sad day was quite a while ago. Saab is no longer saab with or with out an suv.

I will never be an suv driver and love my 1989 vert However if I compare this with other suvs I have seen on the road I must say I like the fact it sits very low, SAFETY!! looks more like a station wagon on steriods lol So to not dwell on the negative I say it looks nice and again I like that it sits low

Default New 9-7X

Bull**** vehicle (sorry). I'm quite disappointed with this SUV. SAAB lost its originality under GM, although I love my new 9-3 Vector

On the fourth picture down, there is a silver SAAB estate/wagon. It does bear at least some resemblence to the new Subaru Legacy wagon ... what's the deal with that?

That's the 9-3x Concept. Very nice looking car, all Saab based I think on Epsilon. Something like it is supposed to be out perhpas for MY06. Check out Saab website for more photos. And, no, I don't think it looks at all like a Subaru!
