Sooo, I just picked up my car last night, and like all Saabs, it has to ruin our fun with warnings!!

So, I'm at a loss! What does that warning even mean?? The headlights are fine!

hmm.. the light came on, so I checked everything! headlights (high and low beam), directional signal, hazards- They're all working fine!

Maybe it's a positional sensor that's not working well?

The warning comes on every 3/5 times that I turn the car on... And if I put it on the 'on' position, and the warning comes up, I turn it off and do it again.. and sometimes that works!

Us older Saabs don't get a message, but I think the newer ones do. Not sure which years,....2007+ probably when it got the facelift. The side markers when out will give an error too on the newer ones so I'm not surprised. Replace the little city light bulb pointed out above..

Hmm.. interesting.. None of the lights are out, I've checked every time the warning light comes on.

has anyone in the forum gotten this warning? It literally says "Right Front Position Light Failure"

Does anyone know how to put a picture here? I can show you the warning once I figure out how to input a picture.

Edit** I think I figured out how to add a picture.. let's see if it works...............Maybe not...........

Got that message today, and I just finished replacing the bulb (W5W or Sylvania 2825). The bulb kept making intermittent contact such that when the warning came up the bulb sometimes was working, apparently the filament did not completely break off. It was quite difficult to replace, if you don't have a small right angle set of pliers. You have to get a hold of the plastic bulb holder and pull straight back (no turns needed), of course that's after you have removed the high beam light (mostly because you don't want to chance breaking it since it is partially in the way). No fun at all.

It is those little w5w bulb right below the headlights. My 2007 convertible showed that same message intermittingly, although the message was on, both sides of the bulbs were working. I replaced both anyways. No messages anymore. I went with the blue bulbs so they are now a whiter color than the standard yellowish color bulbs.
