Default Disappearing oil. Something to worry about?

Alright, just changed my oil today with Mobil 5w-40 and when I drained it, only 2-2.5 quarts drained out. I know that the PCV #6 consumes more oil and with a stage 3 on my GT17 at 153k miles, the turbo may be burning up more oil than normal.

There are no leaks, and I never see or smell signs of burning oil. 2 quarts over 5k miles isn't bad for some cars, and pushing more out of the small turbo, I would expect increased oil consumption. When I saw how much drained out, I wasn't per se worried, but I definitely scratched my head.

Just wondering, is this something to start really worrying about?

At 600 miles a week mostly highwya cruise mine started consuming a quart per week in about 45-60 time frame. Just keep an eye on it.

My car has the common oil leak from the plug on the right side just under the valve cover, along with a turbo that is leaking a bit I have gone through as much as 2 quarts in a 5,000 mile period as well. Recently it's dropped off and i"ve only been replacing a quart or less inbetween changes (maybe the warmer weather?) But I don't think it's a huge problem, more of a nuisance.

Just keep a quart or two in the trunk for topping off.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't figure it is too big of a problem, and I will definitely start checking the oil level on occasion. I usually keep at least a quart in the trunk along with all the other tools I need. I just wanted to make sure that this it wasn't completely out of the ordinary.

At some point the turbo is going to blow, justifying the need to upgrade to a TD04. If that is what this ends up being, then so be it.
