New England Saab convoy to Swedish car day 2012

I was at Larz Anderson a few weeks ago for the British car day. If the Swedish car day is similar, plan to be there early as it was PACKED. The best route is down 93 to 293 to Route 3, then 128/95 to Route 9 east. Google it; not a bad trip.

I'd love to attend, but it'd be a LONG day from up here. If so, I'll post again.

Now that they've moved it to August it seems to bring out a much bigger crowd. Last year they came very close to filling both fields! SAAB has a much larger presence than the Volvo crowd, but there are some cool T5's, older volvos, and crazy V8 wagons that show up.

I am looking forward to this event! Saab is definately my favorite out of the two, but, my last car (my first) was a Volvo 240 wagon. It was a great car and I wish I could have kept it! I will be interested to see some cool 240's down there as people do many different things with those cars. I think the route that was just mentioned is the one to do so lets plan on that. From what I see we have 8 cars so far?

I am not super familiar with the Concord area, so does anyone know a convenient place (preferably close to the highway) where we can all meet before leaving for boston?

How about the park and ride off of 12s or hannaford off of 14? Both are extremely easy to get to

The large southbound rest area just before the hooksett tolls could work well

The park and ride at exit 12 is pretty small and often times full

What about the people coming from 93n to meet up with the rest of us? They would have to take route 3 and loop all the way back around to exit 12 to get on 93s

I suppose that's true... I didn't think about people traveling N to go S

It's directly off exit 10

rt 3 to 95 to rt 9 is the way to go... done it many times, traffic is usually not bad at all early on a sunday morning

I was just involved in an accident with my 900, immediately deemed totaled but I'm holding onto it and fixing it anyways but yeah won't be bringing it to swedish car day anymore
