Default violent juddering

On my way home from work this morning my 2.0T Aero started to judder (pos mis fire) and over boost right passed the 3rd red line on the turbo guage. Any ideas to what the fault is?

Thanks for the suggestions and will see if the local garage can get the codes up? If not its a 20 mile trip to the nearest saab specialist! Would a coil pack cause it to over boost?

bad coil? check plug gap. Gap to minimum .035mm Is it tuned? I broke a ring in my Aero w/ bsr stg1 getting on the highway, boost in the red. Same year as yours.

Broken ring!?! Ouch!!!! Yeah its got a maptun stage 1 tune. Just remembered that the maptuner can be used as an error code reader. Just checked and it says there's no error codes!
Its still over boosting if the loud pedal is floored but not when treated more gentle.

Yeah broken ring. Installed a motor out of an 06 w/ 10k less miles than original motor, found it a salvage yard 30 miles from the house. Cost me $2700 including install. Re-gap your plugs.

Just went through the same sounding thing with my son's 9-3 SS. Slim chance it would be the same cause, but you never know.

I'm going to book it in at the local garage asap! May as well get them to sort the creaking when turning the steering wheel at the same time.
