I been having this issue for over 2 months now. Its one click noise upon initial braking or acceleration. It doesn't have to be hard braking or acceleration. happens in straight lines as well as corners. Sound like its coming from the Front not sure what side. Also over bumps there is a clunking noise.
I have replaced the following so far. Front brakes Rotors strut mounts w/ bearings struts tie rods sway bar linkages control arms and bushing Front alignment Re torqued the subframe New tires Any Ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance 2007 Saab 9-3 arc 110,000 miles |

Did you do all that for the sound? You need to just have someone outside listen to where it is coming from, or even have it on a lift

Two things Im thinking cv joints and axels or sway bar bushing Any thoughts in thinking that might be the problem |

i get that noise but i think its the rear brakes or rotors, i got them from brakeperformance.com and i didnt get the noise till a year or so after i installed them. i had the dimple rotors so i will get the oem saab rotors and pads, hopefully that will fix it. gl

Sounds like cracked spring(s) or CV axel(s).

Turns out that the cheap sway bar linkages I got the driver side one was bad. The lower ball joint was loose and every time i accelerated and brake the body would roll and since the last past its gotten from a clicking noise to a clunking noise. Incase someone has the same problem and progressed passed the clicking.
Thanks for the replies guys much appreciated |
