Default Only one fog light working

I just replaced both of my fog light bulbs two days ago. I put them in one by one to make sure they worked. Before I did this my passenger side always gave me problems like not turning on until i tapped the bumper or tapping the splash shield. I just thought it was loose or something. I put the passenger side fog light in, turned the lights on to see if it worked and it came on. So i moved over to the driver side put the new fog light in, turned the lights on to see if the driver side would turn on. it did but to my surprise the passenger side wouldnt come on, even thou it did a few minutes before. Im not sure what it could be at this point. It seems like everytime I personally touch my baby to do something other than drive it something breaks.smh

Can somebody point me to the right direction.

If you have to tap on it to get it to work, it's got to be the contacts or the harness. Did you clean the wire harness and area where the bulb snaps in when you put the new bulb in?

I wiped the connector off to see if it would help but noting. I just used a wired brush similar to what you would clean battery posts off with and nothing. The old bulb that I took out looked burned

a couple of months ago i had the same type of problem. I pulled the bumper off and found that one of the wires was broken and not making contact. Easy fix. Not saying that's what it is but, easy to investigate.

Did you try using an electrical contact cleaner? I had this problem with a marker light and fixed it by cleaning the connector

To get a good look at the harness its best remove the bumper, its not has hard as is seems, 3 screws on each side of the wheel and then 5 or 6 screws underneath the bumper and it comes off.

Ok its a couple days later and my fog is still out. Used contact cleaner and no dice. So I had a friend check to see if I was still getting power to the connector I was, but he thinks I have a bad ground. Is this possible i thought the ground for the headlight and fog light was the same?

Please post up if you figure this out. I have the same issue, though if I replace the burnt out side, the other side will pop. They both work fine for a day or two in between whichever bulb decides to go out next

How is the metal where the bulb attached? Mine got wet last year and corroded the terminal. I had the retrofit projectors because the terminal was unusable and shorter out. Check to see if that's your problem.

That was my problem. The whole thing was burnt up and was causing a short so it wouldn't work at all. Thought it was the bulb, changed it and it didn't work. I wired a socket to the power wires and it worked so I knew it was the connection area.
