cd player problems

hi all my cd players not working,its letting me put a cd in and i can hear the player spinning and trying to read it but after a couple of minutes its saying disc not playable?I've tried new cds also disc cleaner but nothing,anyone got any ideas?thanks gunner

follow the write up to remove player and dismantle then use some cd lens cleaner to clean the laser lens GENTLY!
cotton wool bud spun while laying gently on the lens not vigorous rubbing

i tried a cd lens cleaner disc but still no joy

i know thats why i suggested the fluid lens cleaner and a cotton bud

it may well have a nice coating of ciggie smoke from last owner

or kids sticking fingers from a cd or spilt drink etc
a cd lens cleaner is a few hair like brushes that would remove only a light coating of dust.........maybe
