Roof rack wind noise?
I have an 06 that I've put the yakima mounts and cross bars on. At highway speeds Im getting a pretty loud wind noise. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if the fairing would really help? I know REI has an awesome return policy but I didn't want to go through all the effort if someone here has already tried it. Thanks in advance for any advice or recommendations.

sorry not a 97 owner, but on my 93 i've rocked just the bars over the past summer and yes, it gets pretty loud at higher speeds. i have a fairing still sitting in the box, but have not gotten to installing it yet. that's what it's meant for, to reduce wind noise, so it should get the job done and be a lot quieter.
