Genuine saab engine mount question

do i have to run a genuine saab passenger side engine mount with a matching transmission mount or can i just run a genuine saab engine mount with a stock transmission mount? i have a manual.

You can just run the GS rear mount. If the other mounts are original, they are probably bad as well and will need replaced eventually. Both the trans mount and the passenger side mount's rubber crack rather easily.

I'm running a rear GS "Sport" mount with the soft insert. Only thing I'd suggest is always back up gently as they don't seem to like being put into reverse. The top ring with the 2 tabs that bolt the insert in, is rather weak. Mine was actually bowing and wasn't entirely flush with the base. The insert was pressing up on it (they sent it to me like that with the "Hard" insert, soft insert did the same thing). It's an OK mount, but definitely double-check that it's seated correctly. Only fixes would be to weld a thicker ring to the GS unit's, or weld 2 more tabs so you can add more bolts to tighten it better. Design flaw on their part.
