Default Power Steering Pump Question

When I pulled the motor from my 9K I did not pay total attention to the power steering line. I actually let the guts fall out.

Need to know if know how the inner most piece is oriented.

Inlet Fitting
Spring
Shuttle valve - Nut in or out???

Not sure what you're talking about, but here is a diagram of the control/relief valve. It discharges to the steering gear:

Looks similar but I am looking at the pump not the rack.

When I removed the line from the pump prior to pulling the motor. I undid the outer fitting which held the pictured pieces into the pump. The pressure line to the rack would exit to the right.

Same component - different view. Just that the one I posted is more "schematic" than real life.

Yea, thanks. Glad to be certain. To undo a wrong installation after buttoning up the rest of the motor would be a ton of work.
