Most of my mounts in my car were toast at 140,000 miles. I replaced the sub-frame and control arm bushings, and also the left and right engine mounts. I've noticed a HUGE improvement in how the car rides, but there is still some engine rock when I mash the pedal. Is it safe to assume that I need to replace the rear mount as well? It's very difficult to see and I'm guessing it's original.
update: I found the answer to my questing here at http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/sh...6&postcount=14 Now I understand that the rear mount is fluid-filled so I'm guessing mine is shot. This is a great forum with a lot of informative information, Thanks! Last edited by mhess427; 05-02-12 at 01:20 PM. |

I replaced all the mounts on my V6 and must say the rear mount did not offer the same improvement on the ride as the others did. The engine rock is less but still there and apparently just part of these cars.
I believe the rear mount on the 4 cyl is not too bad a job but on the V6 space around there is limited and not an easy DIY job. |
