Stock Boost

I have a 2006 Saab 9-5 2.3t .Can anyone please tell me what the stock boost is?

i highly doubt that. It cant have that much boost .. stock . and not have an intercooler

1. you do have an intercooler

2. older stock aeros with B235R engines boost 13-14 max

3. 06 and up 9-5s all have have the B235R with td04 turbo

4. enjoy your boost

i dont quite understand what you mean. stock boost is 13-14 max from the factory thats why its called..stock

Ok , i get that, im just having a hard time grasping the fact that my 06 Saab 9-5 (not aero) 2.3T is right now, boosting 13-14 psi . without me have turn it up

06 and up aero and non-aero have the same motor/power. The aero just have different a different trim and suspension

get a boost gauge. seeing is believing

I have a Mazda for autocross and it definitely lacks the robust, quality feeling I get when driving my SAAB. SAAB's just have power and a certain confidence about them.

Im sorry, you must be misinformed. you do have an intercooler. I don't believe there IS a production forced induction vehicle that does not have an intercooler. Also, the amount of boost does not alter the requirement for an intercooler. An intercooler has to do with boost air TEMPERATURE not pressure. Turbocharged drag racing cars run massive turbos with well over 40 psi boost with no intercooler.

The boost is controlled by your waste gate or capacity of the turbocharger. In the case of your saab, its a waste gate.

Ok my saab indeed does boost 13psi. Now, what is the max boost that I can safely run on stock internals

ok. Ive seen 18 psi being ok to your motor. but I would stay away without proper knowledge of your vehicle. upping the boost isn't just simply turning up the dial. there are multiple maps that will need to be altered.

Sorry to be a downer, but I made the mistakes of jumping into the tuning and modification pool headfirst, only to find out that T7 is a beast best left to professionals.
