Default Code scanners for 1995 900

I'm sure there's a tread about this already but I couldn't find one. Has anyone successfully read codes from a odb1 Saab with any tools that state odb1 compatibility like the actron 9190. I need the ability to read fault codes without going back to the dealer at $100 a pop

Good luck on finding a better dealer
$100 a pop is excessive..
When others do it gratis - to open an opportunity for a sale.

I need to pull more than just power train codes so i need it read. I just hope I can get away with having the codes read once because $100 for 5 minutes of the dealers time is nuts.

Will Autozone read codes from older cars for you?

I've been to autozone and that's correct, they can't read the 95 saab 900s. My repair guys in several shops haven't been able to scan it with the snap-on scanners. I know the dealer can read it because they went in an reprogrammed a new set of remote keys, which I think it done with tech II.

Now. I read somewhere that the ACTRON CP9580 works but wanted to verify it can read the motronic 90 saab 900s with OBDII interface and older ALDL format. I want to buy one to read my codes and autozone doesn't allow electronics to be opened and then used.

Also, ACTRON says the CP9145 reads the 94 95 cars and I wanted to verify this before purchasing one, has anyone used that on the 95 saab 900s?

Default Innova 3120

Also, has anyone used the INNOVA 3120 on a 1995 saab 900s? It says it has the obd II connector and reads OBD 1 data.

I thought Saab went with OBDII starting in 94'? They were one of the 1st companies to voluntarily implement OBDII before the 96' mandate.
