New Saab Owner Question

Hi all. I just bought a 2000 Saab 9-5 SE V6 Turbo Wagon. 130K miles. I paid 2500 for it. Its my first Saab. I got it pretty cheap. Its interior is in great condition and the exterior is very good. A few issues it does have though...

Leaks coolant from the resevoir tank, so I guess Ill be replacing
SID units bad I bought a new used SID for $100

It burns a little oil. No smoke from a cold start. No smoke really when driving, but a puff of smoke now and again when heavy acceleration. Is this fairly common with this model or do I have serious issues down the road. Any suggestions?

Also is the SID an easy DIY?

SId is an easy DIY but most used ones are bad or will be bad in a few months we get them repaired fo 60 bucks with life time warraty from BBA-reman.com

I see on *bay a European seller is selling new SID connecting ribbon. Anyone actually now why the pixels are intermittent in mine?

THe ribbon connnector flexes with heat, so they come and go ( if it gets hot or cold out )

You can try just using the iron trick and re-attaching the ribbon or buy that one sometimes those methods work
