Default my 9-5 cheapest way to gain hp

I got this saab, its the 2.3 170 hp what are some of the cheapest ways to gain hp?

Why TD-04 first? Might as well wait for the GT17 to fail. You'd probably get more power/$ by swapping exhaust and going with a higher stage. A muffler shop could replace the mid muffler with straight pipe, and replace the back box with a magnaflow for only a few hundred. If you're car savvy, a front mount intercooler kit is pretty cheap as well.

Also, don't forget the importance of tires (this should be your FIRST upgrade), suspension and brakes. No sense having a ton of power if you can't put it down.

How much horsepower are you looking to make should have been my first question.

A stock aero will pull off a 14.8 with an auto( Id imagine you can sqeeze out another tenth with a manual)...How fast do you want to go?

St1 tune for sure. JZW is the least expensive pro out there, but ECUproject can help you do it yourself if you want to invest the time to learn.

I second running the GT17 until it dies, because if you are going to replace it, might as well see it go out in a fun way.

Downpipe gave a more noticeable performance upgrade when combined with the tune than the catback, then again, I already had a catback at that point.

FMIC just takes time and patience, but cools the air so much better than the stock, but really is mostly beneficial in hot summers, when the A/C compressor causes massive heat soak.

As far as what the most fun/$$ is, I honestly love my suspension more than anything else, and I am at a St3 on my GT17, waiting for it to blow. The increased cornering is a lot more fun and consistently usable than getting off the line faster.

Actual answer to question: depending on how you value your time, T7Suite requires the smallest $$ amount invested to get power.

The cheapest way is probably getting a B235L ECU (2.3T 220 hp) and marrying it to your car.
