Default Saab 9-5 Headlamp Lens

Hello,

Does anyone have a suggestion and a method/product for cleaning oxided(?)
lenses on the plastic headlamp assemblies or replacing them? They look terrible when they "fog up" and make the car look old. Also, can they replaced with glass assemblies from the older 9-5s?

Thanks !!!

You can buy kits at auto parts stores. They get pitted and grimey from road salt and bugs that hits them over the years.

Lens restore kits usually have tools which let you buff them to perfection so they look brand new.

Doesnt work with glass lenses though.

I have purchased two of those kits and my experience is that they barely make any difference at all and were a complete waste of money.

Helps if you have a high-speed buffer... I have a friend with a 9-3 that had some success.

I've done this for half a dozen Saabs including my own, all with very good results. Well worth the money, but it takes a little time to be able to do it.

Most detail shops can do this and make them look almost new but i dont know what the charge might be. I've done it myself on about dozen headlights and they looked new
