Well got the cover off the bottom of the seat on my 93 9000 and took it to a repair shop, and now what should I do about the seat heater. People say to check it out, but all I saw were some pads glued to the foam rubber is that right? Are they expensive and difficult to replace.

Not too expensive and a new one is an easier repair than finding the short and fixing it. If the wire burned through then the break may show a soot mark at the location. Most often it is a mechanical breakage from kneeling on the seat (never ever kneel on the seat heater area) and is very hard to find.
They pull off and the new one glues down. Wires connect and you're in business. Well worth fixing as winter weather is so much more comfy with seat heat. |
