Default $10 strut brace

Made this in the weekend. I used strut towers cut from another 9000. and a pipe. It may not be a stiff as a nice cromoly rose jointed one but cant complain about the cost!

Turning needs less steering wheel imput . Dashboard is quieter .Near me is a nasty corner where the road has been rippled by trucks and the car feels more composed .Tightning up the body reveals tyres inadequacies .Now on the look out for some Toyo r888 if I do another hillclimb.

Update on tyres. Cant find 16 inch 205 semi slicks anywhere. Any recommendations from those who have done a bit of track or competition work? Do I need to buy some 17 inch wheels at this point?

Nice Job, I love a good piece of "urban" diy.
I run the 17's on my 9k and noticed a huge difference in driving/tracking.
I also just swapped over to a smaller Steering Wheel(about 1 inch Dia. smaller) and this makes a massive improvement on turning in and drivability, but i did loose my drivers airbag in the process.

Interesting about the smaller wheel. I managed to get some 205 50 16 semislicks but no wheels luckily the hills are only 5 minutes away as will be getting them swapped over. (will soon get tired of that!) .With a combination of 1 coil cut aero springs and koni shocks Im debating reattaching the piggyback rear sway bar or just winding them to max at the rear.
