Default how is genuine saabs customer service?

ordered a clutch kit from gen saab/ taliaferro. got it and the clutch disk is runied. clutch material cracked in spots. it was packed pretty good and the box was intact so i dunno what happened, but it isn't going in my car like this. mildly irritated because im supposed to race the thing this friday, and will have to go buy a stock clutch disk to do so. this is also my daily, so the longer i have to wait the more im walking. i just hope they help me out instead of telling me to get lost.

I'm sure they'll be happy to exchange it with a good one or let you return it. They've got a pretty good reputation among the saab tuning community

It's just too bad you have to deal with the extra down time

GOod luck!

i don't judge a company till they do me wrong personally. sent them an email with pictures, see what happens.

I ordered a set of strut mounts... got them and they were pretty banged up. Sent an email with pics of what I received. They gave me the option of replacing them or refund. The only thing that sucked was i got aftermarket instead of the OEMs cause they were back-ordered. GS was easy to deal with. Send 'em an email or call them. I'm sure you'll get it squared away.

Better to call them sooner rather than later

Worth noting that Nick is a very helpful guy, and that they have some unique/hard-to-find parts.

That said, he must hire relatives... no one would tolerate regular employees who treat customers with that little regard.

I've traded with them several times over the last few years and never had a problem...they were very helpful when I needed assistance with one of their products. But, I never had an issue like this...good luck.

For me they've always been great...except one time...the last time.

I'd ordered well over $6K in upgrades for my Viggen over the past 3 years and when I ordered some OEM control arms from them (they're website said OEM SAAB) instead they shipped Scan-Tech. When I pointed this out to them they corrected their website and told me to send back the parts and they would refund me everything but a 'restocking fee' and shipping costs. I was very PO as I had emails from Nick and others confirming OEM, so finally they agreed to split the costs.

I haven't ordered from them since...a bit 'gun shy'. Didn't figure I should be out almost $100 for a mistake they made....

If you had emails confirming OEM, they should have not only refunded every cent you paid, but paid the shipping back too.

I am not very happy with their service or products for that matter..
Fwiw bought probably 2-3k worth of stuff..

They'll read this and I'll get more poorly threaded, poorly fitting parts...

I've never had a problem with Genuine Saab, either pre- or post-sale, and that includes multiple phone calls and emails about brakes, cams, bushings, interchanges, sway bars, etc....

Shipping hasn't been the speediest, but parts come with detailed instructions and the on-line guides are excellent...

Amazing, just called in the other day to order a few stock parts as well since I choose not to buy from my dealer, Nicks Mom answered and rang me right up. We even chatted about his "new" Turbo X.

I hear a lot of this but have never experienced it. Probably because GS's 800 number only works for the US and not Canada so the clock ticks when you phone and I'm usually 'on hold' for what seems like a very long time while someone fetches Nick (our long distance rates are crazy expensive).

Nick's been very helpful when it came to working out a tune for my car and then later during the transmission failure with suggestions on how to add a Quaife to a new 9.3 tranny and adapting it to my Viggen.
