Exclamation 84' volvo 242, with more Saab Trionic 5.5 swap

Howdy folks!

I've got the whole T5.5 setup en route via mail here.

I'm doing this swap why?

reasons: same bosch VR sensor and flywheel uses 60-2 trigger pattern (yay LH 2.4), same idle air motor, ect

I'm aiming to pull 28~mpg freeway with ethanol. I know it can be done! LH 2.4 is batch fire, uses an air mass meter, and will very easily max out with 400whp.

I have lh 2.4 tuned alright with the ostrich, but I absolutely relish the idea of trionic, considering all of it's very cool strong points. I'm looking forward to it.

The only hurdles currently that I can forsee is:

the volvo flywheel missing teeth are 87bdtc, where as trionic requires 117deg.
This will require probably (HOPEFULLY) just shifting the flywheel over a bolt hole to get it all to work. I'm looking for 20 teeth, and I PRAY it's that easy. If not, I'll have to start chopping the bellhousing

My question: IS the trigger angle CHANGEABLE via flashing? is there an area in the programming that can be changed? I've tried Dilemma of t5 suite and no response via email. I'm hoping it's that simple, that way I don't have to pull the flywheel at all. It would be nice, however I will do the work if necessary. It's RWD after all, not terribly hard.

Anyway, I've read the threads on Mike's swap, very good read. All the hard gremlins are accounted for. This is my only dilemma(lol) concerning the swap, if this were changeable, I'd be able to just plug it in and fire it up.

setup:
84 volvo 242 turbo
93 b230F block/11:1 compression/e85/1200cc injectors/16v head
holset hx52/pulse-paired exhaust manifold w/ dual wastegates 38mm
big honkin' plenum intake.

slight drivearound with no shens

Im suprised this thread made it!

I've got all the stuff I need to do it. Just need to look over the wiring harness some more and get motivation to pull the car apart and install it.

As far as I know you cannot change the trigger angle via any conventional interfaces in the T5 suite program. However, given the power of the flashing process I'd imagine if you were on par with dilemma or better in terms of grasp of hexadecimal and the operations of the T5.5 module, then I'd imagine you could re program the trigger angle. It would require quite a bit of know how!
That said, open up every tab on the directory window on the left in T5 suite and see if you see anything. Maybe you get luck?

Awesome project man! Seriously cool and I love those old volvos.

I know you have a lot in the motor, but T5.5 doesn't play nice with other engines I'd suggest either megasquirt, Nira, or workin the kinks outta LH, which IMHO, is a VERY limited management system. Otherwise, get an old Saab motor.
BTw, why'd you got 11:1? Even with E85 most go to about 10:1, and those guys are generally running smaller turbo's.
