If you get the regular bumpstops and put a longer bolt with a bushing of somesort in it your pretty much there.
I ordered a custom set which someone here in Holland made. But I think you can easily make them for yourself seeing how handy you are. Here are some pics of them: ![]() ![]() ![]() Normally you have the metal bushing between the chassis and the bumpstop

I used a circlip on mine. Cost a couple pennies each at Home Depot, works perfect.

more progress!!! after starting the whaletail foam surround, i have been focusing on the mechanical aspect rather than aesthetics so i can get it up to scanwest and get the last few things done to get it running and work on the interior things later. i got some tires, got 2 wheel back from the powder coater a lot of the wiring is completed including the battery tray and power/ground is complete. i checked the grounds at the front of the spg and everything works and grounds out just fine! also ended up using the circlips (thanks to quickorange)for the hatch shocks. enjoy some more pictures!
scanwest is going to sort out the rear brakes for me as well as shift linkage, bleeding the clutch and brakes, and final wiring, timing, and the initial start up! plan on dropping it off the first week of august once i button up a few more things. after scanwest i'll bring it to get aligned to sort out the steering rack and make sure all the suspension is nice and straight for the new tires and everything by that time i'll have it driving and slowly piece together the inside ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

About how much paint did it take to cover the exterior? I'm trying to estimate the cost of a paint job, but I wasn't sure if a gallon would be enough.

I think I used 3 quarts of color, 2 quarts epoxy sealer, 4 quarts of clear, I used a epoxy grey green sealer coat as my base so the color covered well, I did 3 coats of color cause it was pretty light

Cool, thanks! I'm looking at a nice single stage, and at this rate, I think my prep supplies are going to cost more than the paint itself.

I definitely won't end up with as nice a product as you, I just want to get it looking halfway decent and not have to worry about rust.

You have a lot of weight you have not added back on the car. Hood, Windsheild, seats, I'd guess at 150 lbs. She will sit lower.
Love to see the car in person. We are have a dyno day Sept 1 are R&H garage. You can run, but you don't have to. You are more than welcome to come visit and cheer on your fellow enthusiast. Might have to bring some napkins for all the drool when folks check our your ride. |

Amazed at the job you have done to date , absolute credit to you.
U copped a bit of flack early days re color , but boy its coming together well . Love the dark accents ( bumper inserts and tail light tints ) One very unique quality car , without being ricey or Bling ... Top job . Curious on the SPG panels as I am fitting some up now to a vert , did you use any edge moulding between the skirt and the panel ? Cant pick in the pictures . |

I did use foam between the panels and the body, I'll post some picture of it next time I take some!
But thanks for the love, some people hated the lime yellow but I love it its all coming together when all the trim and what not I did in satin is put on. |

Missed this project. I must have been spending too much time over on the other forum (link below
One question, in the photo showing the transmission from the front, what is that sensor which has been screwed into the hole for the 5th gear peg and what are you going to use it for? |

I was going to ask the same question. Funny, if there is something out of the norm, you pick it up right away.
