Some friends of mine who are into Saab's and I have gone in and purchased a G-TECH PRO Competition 3-axis accelerometer computer http://www.gtechpro.com.
I got this just in time to make some runs on my 2001 5spM Aero with Abbott tuned ECU. I ran 18 1/4 mile runs and the top of the runs are around this range 0-60 = 6.01 - 6.51 sec 1/4 mile 14.5 - 14.9 sec I have lots of first gear wheel spin....need to learn how to not do this!! I have finally been able to make some runs on my new 2004 95 Aero. I was waiting for the break-in period. I ran 14 1/4 mile runs and the top of the runs are around this range 0-60 = 6.52 - 6.73 sec 1/4 mile 15.1 - 15.4 sec Not so much wheel spin on the 04, could be the Pirelli tires vs the Michelin?? More info to come. I plan on adding the Speed Parts Stage 3 PPC from Taliaferro within the next 4-6 weeks. I will make some runs then and post the results. Yes, I traded in the 2001 for the 2004. I must say the 2004 is a better ride, I know that talk about improvements and you think well that is just marketing, well I am here to say it is not. The new car is much, quietier, responsive, tight, feels more firm but not rough!
Very happy, Lance from Houston |

Hej,
My 2004 is a 5spM. I am waiting for the rain to clear here in Houston so I can go make some runs with the G-Tech. I am also thinking about putting it on a Dyno March 27th. I still do not have my cat-back installed or the delivery pipe. Both of these where back ordered. The Cat-Back is the long delivery item as in 04 Saab made changes, so the 2003 will not fit. I have installed the open air cleaner, 3" downpipe with sport cat and the PPC stage 3 software. The car run very strong and fast.......Can not stop grining!! What brand is the 3" down pipe and sport cat. Also, dose the down pipe & sport cat have two "O2" sensors like the factory set up or is it just one? Sorry for so many questions, as your set up interests me very much because I have the exact same car and was thinking of doing all the upgrades you have done.
Thanks. |
