Obd diagnostic tool 900

Hi everyone new to this forum but already have ask few questions regarding 900 i just bought, my next question is, can anyone recommend a cheap error reader to clear and reset service codes etc. once again thank you

Since you don't list the year of your car,you should be made aware that the 1994 and 95 NG900 use an OBD1 scanner and the years after that use an OBD2 scanner.

A standard OBD II wont do airbags or ABS but there are more advanced ones that will do those without going to a full tech II. Ask Frank D he recently purchased one I believe.

I use a scangauge 2 ita around 150 bux but its worth it. It reads and clears codes display engine paramaters and also works as a trip computer. I have mine displaying water temp, intake temp, voltage and avg mpg's since it updates faster then the SID. Overall good deal at a great price.

pretty sure you need tech 2 to reset airbags on the 900

I have the UltraGauge....it's the cheap alternative to the ScanGauge.
Aside from being able to have extra gauges, it also reads and clears codes (CEL based, not sure ABS/Air Bag)

Cant believe how thick i am , i have a hawkeye tester for my landrover discovery 2 , it uses obd2 interface it is made by omitec have spoken to them and they say it may read the error codes because it is a standard set of codes across the board, so i will check when i next at home, unless anyone advises against it. dont think i can reset any codes, let you know the out come.

Should be fine to use.
It just reads codes, no programming. So you can't do any harm with a read only.

oh well tried the hawkeye ,cannot use it keeps coming up with data cable communication error. fixed to landrover only then. will have to invest in a obd2 reader / reset tool. universal this time not brand locked.
