Top Gear in Santa Cruz

Just a heads up for all you Top Gear fans [the American one that is] They were filming a segment of an episode where the three each buy a car for $5oo and drive it 500 miles. They had the cars on the Santa Cruz Wharf and were contemplating a drive up Hwy 17 [no way I'm taking that route in a $500 car without backup]
I spoke to one of the stars and he said that even though it is the American version it is a BBC show and the technical crew are all British.

That is cool, I wish I could have seen jeremy, hammond and captain slow when they did the east coast a while back. I tried watching the American show but to be honest, it sucks

I watch the american show. Nowhere as good at the British one but yes the same british writters are writting the American one. I just wished they came up with new ideas. Im watching season 10 of the british show and pretty much everything that happened there was mimiced for the american show.

Well that must be the problem. American's with American accents cannot deliver British humor except for on Frasier. (But I didn't notice any humor in the American Episodes I watched, I figured those idiots wrote it themselves),

I completely agree. I may be from the USA but our version of the show does not do it justice. I've seen every episode/special from the british version and all I can say is that I wish they would make more episodes per season right now. I hate only getting 6-8 episodes per series. Bring back the 13-15 episode seasons!!!!
