Default smoking V6

Hi as a new member I was hoping for some advice.

I had an oil change done 1000 miles ago, everything was great, then 2 days ago i noticed a puff of smoke from the tail pipe.
This puff of smoke is now a cloud that follows me, its grey/white. There is no loss of power, no erratic idling, in fact everything seems the same. I checked the oil level and that hasn't dropped, and the coolant is the same. Checked and changed the spark plugs, they where clean and normal color, no oil residue to say that the rings had gone.
The car is not drivable because of the smoke. I've read a lot on here about worn rings, worn out turbo and the like, but Iam totally confused.
Any help and advice would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Just an up date, my engine management light has come on and the code is saying that the O2 sensor is shot, would this be an effect from the smoke or the problem.

Sounds like your turbocharger has gone. The smoke is oil burning, so even though you didn't see a depreciable amount of oil gone if you continue to drive it, it will be burning and using up oil.
The solution is to replace it with either new, used, or rebuilt.
on ebay you can find a number of replacements ranging in price.
I've done a few turbos on the V6 and chose to rebuild with a rebuild kit from ebay seller xsboostturbochargers
Good Luck.

It's the Garrett GT1549. It's the one with the attached exhaust manifold.
