I used my ipod today to test a 0-60 in my 98 900 se automatic. Mods are OAI, MBC w/o antipacitor (for now) set to 12psi and rear muffler delete. I had it in drive and held my foot on the brake and the gas till about 2 grand or so then i punched it and hit the start on my stop watch app. I ran a 8.3. Does this sound about right. Just curious since these cars are kinda heavy lol

60-100mph times are where it's at. More useful for real world comparison.

true i just adjusted my mbc a little to see if it will hit fuel cut or not. Maybe I can get it to 13 or 14 psi.

I ran into this website not too long ago, they list the 96 900 as 8.3, but then they're listing the 99 9-3 at 6.7 which seems a bit off...anyway pretty interesting:

Slow, these were stated to get to 60 in about 7.5 for the slushies and 7.1 for standard shift. With an MBC I could get around 6.7 seconds 0-60. Stage 3+ isnt too much faster though due to traction probs. 50-90 is waaaaay faster though.

+1. These cars aren`t designed to be fast off the line - I find that 1st gear is way too short. As Martin says, they are designed to perform once the car is rolling e.g. overtaking.

The 0-60 times ain't that far off really. Mine does it in 7.3, so not bad for a 99 turbo s.

0-9.7mph - .74s
0-19.7mph - 1.72s 0-30.5mph - 2.71s 0-40mph - 3.94s 0-50.1mph - 5.41s 0-60.1mph - 6.15s 0-69.6mph - 7.05s Things are much better at sea level. The tune is still being worked on down low, too - that's why it's taking forever just to get to 30. Also, not using launch control or much of a launch other than dropping clutch but not all the way to let it slip some, so no bog. |

7.3 seconds is actually pretty good for stock. 6.15 is crappy for not stock. The best I got before on stage 3 stuffs was 5.8 seconds. |

Cool, yeah I used the Bosch iPhone app and it got me to 60mph in 6.8sec. Getting it to launch smoothly is another story though, not too worried about off the line stuff anyway these San Diego freeways are more like raceways sometimes so overtaking and whatnot make the power much more important for those situations. BTW I've got a STG 1 (JZW) and my boost is anywhere from 5-25psi (depending on gear and throttle position), haha boost gauge installed last week, fun to watch aren't they?
I'll have to sneak in a 60-100 sometime soon. |

Only thing not stock on mine is forge ram BOV and a new vacume hose. Should still be able to do it better than 7.3 though lol. The new BOV does make gear change smoother though.
