Default car will not start

it drove fine only hours before i tried to start it and no fire.
checked all fuses and smelled electric smoke under the hood.
noticed a crack in a (vacum?)line coming off of the turbo.
fixed the cracked line. still nothing.
i hope the attached pic works.
i colored the line that cracked BLUE and indicated where it cracked w/red arrow.
while checking my fuel pump assembly i broke both the check and return valves (anybody know where to buy BOTH by chance?).
so after replacing the fuel line connections i'll be back at square one.
any ideas?

4cyl~ a DIC couldn't hurt, not sure if it's ever been replaced.
i replaced my spark plugs a month ago.
there were no symptoms at all. ran and sounded fine.

i have only had the car for 3 years. it had all the service work done under warranty untill apx.60-80,000miles
i have heard that if the DIC is gonna go out you'll feel missing and wierd hesitations and possibly some other symptoms before it goes.
it was my first concern though, and i hoped it wasn't another 300$ part,
seeing as how the car is only worth 250$trade value and 950street value.
next is the clutch!!!
anyone got a walk through for replacing the clutch LOL!!

Not at all these will go without notice, especially the first generation ( which it sounds like your car has) those will fry, you smell burnt electrical smell and no go
