coolant leak

coolant leak on passenger side of engine. (front of engine) cant figure out where it is leaking. tried to follow the drip with a flashlight... any idea what it could be leaking front. what to look at? i have to refill coolant once a week.

i would have a good look at your radiator and connecting pipes.
but as a short term fix you could put some k-seal in the coolant tank.

Hmmm, I have the same issue with my 99 9-3 don't think it's the waterpump and seems to be a little further behind the waterpump. With a normal 400-500 miles of driving a week, the tank gets to the fill mark at about 2-3 weeks. What is this K seal?

its like rad weld, but so much better and dosen`t gunk up your coolant system. have a look on ebay thay sell it on there. my local store sells it over here for £12.

There is a connecting pipe from the waterpump to the engine block that has o-ring type seals that could be leaking.

^^^^Ohhhh. Does anyone have a schematic that schows where this is because that sounds viable.

No pic, but it's behind the waterpump and requires removal of the pump. Get a pump, it comes with all the seals and do the job once

How involved is the removal. I replaced the head gasket originally and shortly after, maybe 2 months afterwards I started seeing drips. Any how to's on waterpump.
