Pricing came out for the FRS. It will basically be around 25/26k

MEH. Thought it would be a better value however I can see the pricing point.

Still a tough call

I could get a New Gen 9-5 or 9-4x and just use the TurboX as a track car.

With the interior stripped out and all the un needed bits removed I am sure it would be a fun car.

Besides it would be more rare in 1 year than a FRS track car as well.

26k for an NA 4cyl with nit many features is ridiculous. V6 track pack will run laps around that car and is cheaper

Turbo x track car would be a monster, I would def make the drive down to help you out. I've stripped a 9-3 before its tedious if you dont want to break anything while stripping.
I've always wanted to see how hard it would be to put a racing seat in one so if you go that route id help

Honestly thinking more and more about it I love the way it sounds and I think would be seriously unique. Thanks for the help if i do decide to do so will def have to make a post about it and maybe get a community thing going!

Oh, and a solid enough trailer & towcar to get it comfortably and easily home, even after I've broken/stuffed it.

That all means I'd probably be seriously looking at original-shape MX5s.

Sounds like you just described an MX5 Miata

Better off with a Lotus or a Miata if you want 150 HP and lightweight.

Pretty Much

Several AutoX Events and at least 4 to 5 Track Days a year Maybe More. I am working out arrangement with local companies on sponsorship for a few things.

In the hands of the great Randy Pobst, I told you so. The BRZ was one second and a half off the lowly and old V6 Mustang. Pretty sad if they don't come out with a forced induction package for it.

That video only prooves my point lol.

the only thing your comparing is 1 second and some change considering the car is several hundred pounds lighter and has a lower center of gravity as well as proper handling I think that has more to offer than a mustang.

look at the body roll and a live rear axle lol.

Also this is a track car and a better platform to start off with, easier to add power then change center of gravity.

I hate that year mustang, but I must admit, thats a sweet looking car.

You should share a video or 2 and some more pictures.

It was on 'Hot Rod' magazine and I was interviewed. I was the president and founder (with Galpin Ford) of the SoCal Chapter of the SVTOA Club. The Saleen Cobra oversteers but has gobs of power. A very good friend has rare 90 Saleen supercharged 5 liter, sorted out (he's a professional driving instructor for the LA Sheriff's Dept.) for $8500 great track car and cheap to maintain. Some more of me and my friends:

I'm the gay in the back in black, my youngest daughter's teacher's fiance is in the wheelchair after a very bad mountain bike accident, he has since recovered. Took him out for a session, had never been in a track car or on a race track, this is him after the ride with me.

That's awesome! I love him on TV or whatever else he does. Fox body FTW!

Drop a new 5.0 coyote into a lightweight fox.

I do not see the problem with that. If you watched what MT did.. they noted that the V6 mustang has more power than the Shelby GT350... what was once one of the mightiest of Mustangs is now slower than the shopping version of the Stang.

It just proves how good cars have gotten in the past 20 years. You have to remember the old Fox Body 5.0 only had about 215hp out of thier V8s.

This is truely the golden age of HP.

As for the Toybaru not stacking up.. they don't. They are in two different classes and the only thing they have in common is where the engine is, what wheels are driven, and price. I really doubt anybody is going to cross shop the two.
