After everything..you will see below. I still have a slight hiccup on my highway and the car just seems like it is lacking some pop. I am wondering if I should run some fuel injector cleaner through it. I run regular gas and have since I owned it about a year and half ago I know should have premium. Today on the way in the engine light flashed when it missed and then went off agian. Last time I checked it with a computer when it flashed and went off it didnt throw a code.
replaced plugs with platinum ngks when I changed plugs there was a gas smell when I removed end plug. replaced maf replaced dic replaced oxygen sensor replaced temp sensor So |

You are trying to get peak performance out of a car that the manual suggests using premium and decide to run a lesser grade gasoline?
Does it make a rattle sound when it misses? My first guess is that you are pinging. |

I would make sure your fuel lines at the pump have had the safety recall done. They can come loose and cause the symptom you describe. This happened to me and caused the exact same problem.
Also a failing engine crank sensor can cause this. This should be replaced around the 100K mark as a preventative maintenance item. |

no noise is good! Couple things to do that are cheap and easy that helped with my car and its hesitation problem. Check/replace vacuum lines, clean throttle body and clean MAF sensor.

I replaced the maf already. I was told the crank sensor will just go and not have these symptoms. Would the crank sensor set off the cel. How hard of a job or how can you check the fuel line at the pump issue?

What are some of the best places to get gas. Since I have heard some loose discussion on this in the past. Are there certain places you think have a better gas product. Since I am going to start putting premium in it figured I would get some thoughts of what places might have the best gas.

Best gas is Shell V-Power, hands down. After testing every gas company in my area, its the only brand that doesnt make my engine ping at WOT. I live at 8000 ft and drive up to 12000 so its a big concern for me. |
