I recently moved back to the US. I wanted an 'individual' car that was new but different and inexpensive (yes I know the C900 was not cheap). So I got one of these
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6.../Koup-Side.jpg Today I was reading this http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/auto...safe-car-list/ My Forte Koup is very rare on the streets of LA and could be considered 'quirky' against the Civic and Scion TC. But everyone loves it and is amazed once they have seen/been in it. Everything is wonderfully placed around the driver.....it is very safe (according to the above article), which got me thinking today, that all Kia need to do is fit a Turbo Charger and voila the new C900!!!! |

Yes I agree, the Audi designer (cannot remember his name) now works for KIA! But in a parallel universe I think we would all of have wanted Saab to achieve what Audi have

If anything, I'd say the Mazdaspeed3 and Golf GTI are more spiritually akin to the C900.

Kind of like how VW only stuck the "150hp" 1.8t in the Golf/Jetta while they offered the VR6... even though the 1.8t routinely dyno'd at more than 150whp. If they offered the Genesis Coupe with a 274hp 2.0T for less than $25k that would be awesome... would make it more competetive with the V6 Mustangs and Camaros. |

The Koreans have really stepped up their game now. No more pointing and laughing at Kia owners....

Just because they are both coupes, have red taillights and two doors doesn't mean anything....

I opened this thread expecting a last-gen mazdaspeed 3.... sorry, but that kia coupe looks ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL like the A5 (especially in person). the kia looks a lot more like a saturn or pontiac. |

The new Optima, the previous one was a nice car, the new one is stunning considering it's less than a Camry...

Ah yes but now look at what Saab19 is now driving.....get it? As for my car all I was really trying to say is I underestimated this car. I bought it as a reliable run around which after a few months I have really begun to enjoy. It reminds of when my father gave me his 1983 C900, which I really did not want at the time as it had a old mans image in the UK. But it led to me to love the brand and own many of these hugely underestimated cars.
Even Motortrend agree! http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...iew/index.html |

Honestly the car is really interesting. I just hate the dash and the stupid name. Remember the Sephia and Ford Fiesta? LOL
I can't get into the Optima, it is just off-putting to me, but the Sonata, wowie wow wow
