Default 9-3 Power Seats do not move forward or backwards

Hello,
I have a Saab 9-3 with power seats. I had to move my seat all the way forward to retrieve my iPod that had fallen on the side of my seat. After retrieving the iPod I was unable to move the seat back. The power button on the side allows the seat to move up and down but not front and back. It is the same button for both functions (up/down and front/back) so am unsure what the issue might be. I was barely able to get in the car and drive home but cannot do so for long periods without it being an extremely painful experience. Any suggestions to fix would be most appreciated. Thanks.

From memory I'm almost sure that this is the motor right under the front of your seat. If you can see in the pic how that while tube thingy is knid of bent. It may have hit something when you moved it all the way forward and got knocked out like that. Just try to reseat it so it's not kinked out if it is.

I had these pics cause I was freaked that i broke my motor when I had my seat out replacing my heated seats. Put the seat in and the motor didnt work.

Pulled it out took pics and was gonna some here and find part numbners for replacement and such.

I kind of unkinked that tube thing and the seat worked fine since.

I must have knocked it putting the seat in and out of the car or while we were working of the heating pad.

I have a similar issue with my driver's side power seat.
All power functions work except forward and backwards. I hear the switch working when pressing forward/backwards but no seat movement.
I checked to make sure the white tubes indicated in the pics were not bent. Everything looks good. I noticed the front seat motor torques slightly when pressing the forward/backward switch.
Do I need to have this motor replaced? Anyone know about parts availability?

Did you try giving the seat a nudge when you press the switch? Try easily pushing the seat back when pressing the button. Also you may have a coin stuck in your seat track, that stopped mine dead in its tracks (no pun intended)
